A Patriot Must ExcerptThe hidden castle had a way of making its residents forget about the time that passed. Mahree and Sebastian did a good deal of nothing. Sebastian had affairs with multiple windows, but none were the same as the one he left behind, so he took to sitting in the empty library, which he was slowly filling with ancient furniture from other wings of the castle. He enlisted Mahree to help him, but she couldn't do much after she moved two armchairs and stubbed her toe. She claimed she had broken it, but used the time to finish her romance novel three times.

I recently read an argument for writing by hand, and that's fine and dandy for notes and lists and whatnot, but I write my stories on a keyboard.
Sure, handwriting looks quirky and pretty and artistic, especially when you write script like I do, but there is something so innately beautiful about not having to look at your thoughts as they spill out of you.
Not having to concentrate, but letting your mind take hold of itself. Letting words rush with great speed, and being able to go back and change something. I'm a piano player, and to me, typing feels so close to that. I can let myself go and just make art, and it feels so nice and so right and so... beautiful.
It's nice to know where the letters are without really having to think about where the letters are. It's nice to hear the click-clack of your words hitting "paper".
It's just nice.
